Flint, MI – As part of the Flint Registry’s summer community engagement efforts, our team recently joined families at the Teddy Bear Health Fair on August 15 for a day of fun, connection, and health education. The event gave us a wonderful opportunity to meet with community members, share information about the Flint Registry, and help families stay connected to resources.
Many of the attendees visited the Flint Registry table to learn more about the Registry and interact with our team. The fan-favorite tie-dye station was back in action, completing nearly 100 tie-dye projects with kids who attended.
The Teddy Bear Health Fair was a collaborative effort between the Crim Foundation and the MSU College of Human Medicine, bringing a little medical care and a lot of fun to Flint families. Children were encouraged to bring their favorite stuffed animals to be “checked out” by MSU medical students, giving kids a fun and interactive introduction to health care.
We’re grateful to everyone who stopped by our table and spent time with the Flint Registry team. Community events like the Teddy Bear Health Fair are an important part of our work to build relationships, share resources, and keep Flint families healthy.
