PPHI Summer 2024 Internship Program

Michigan State University – Hurley Children’s Hospital Pediatric Public Health Initiative (PPHI) is seeking several motivated and community-concerned undergraduate and graduate students for the 2024 PPHI Summer Internship Program. The overall mission of the Pediatric Public Health Initiative (PPHI) is to improve the outcomes of Flint children.

Through clinical and community programs, partnerships, advocacy, training, and evaluation, the Pediatric Public Health Initiative strives for health equity and serves as a national resource for best practices. The PPHI is driven by five work teams: Child and Health Development, Nutrition, Exposure Assessment, Health Informatics, and Child Health Policy and Advocacy. These teams work closely with the PPHI Parent Partner Group and the PPHI Flint Youth Justice League.

The summer interns may support research study and program planning, implementation, and dissemination. Activities will occur at the MSU Flint location and/or at local medical clinics or hospitals between 5/20/2024 – 8/9/2024.

Applications must be submitted by January 26, 2024 for consideration. Interviews will be conducted in February 2024 and offers made in March 2024.
