By January 27, 2020March 23rd, 2022Press Release

FLINT, Mich. – The Flint Registry announces that due to an overwhelming response, the $50 “WINTER THANK YOU” checks will extend one more month, through February 29.

To date, over 20,000 have begun the enrollment process and now nearly 5,000 have fully enrolled in the Flint Registry. Of those who have fully enrolled, over 4,600 referrals have already been made to critical health and development services. The most common referrals are for health care access, neurodevelopmental assessment, education services, lead inspection and abatement, and pipe replacement. The Flint Registry is filling unmet needs and is already dramatically improving the lives of Flint residents.

“We are so excited that thousands of people have already joined the Flint Registry and gotten connected and supported to critical health and development services,” said Dr. Mona Hanna-Attisha, associate professor of pediatrics at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and director of MSU-Hurley Children’s Hospital Pediatric Public Health Initiative. “We appreciate everyone’s patience during this busy promotion period, and we hope this one-month extension will encourage even more people to sign up.”

The increased “THANK YOU” checks are only valid for individuals who fully complete their Flint Registry enrollment between December 1, 2019, and February 29, 2020. The “THANK YOU” check increases from $25 to $50 for December through February 2020 only. The increased $50 THANK YOU check is not valid for previous enrollees who completed their survey before December 1. Checks may take up to 8-12 weeks to arrive in the mail.
