2026 Mini Follow-Up Survey Closes with Nearly 8,000 Responses

By October 9, 2026October 13th, 2026Article, Press Release

The Flint Registry’s 2026 Mini Follow-Up Survey is officially closed, and we are grateful to the nearly 8,000 enrollees who took the time to share their experiences. Each response provides valuable information about what life looks like for Flint Registry participants today and helps us better understand the ongoing needs and experiences of the community.

Participation in Registry surveys is an important part of being a Flint Registry member. By answering questions about their health, well-being, experiences and access to resources, participants help build a clearer picture of how the Flint community has been affected over time. The information shared through these surveys gives the Registry an opportunity to listen directly to participants and learn from their experiences.

“The Flint Registry’s latest survey is an important milestone in our ongoing commitment to understanding the health and well-being of people impacted by the Flint Water Crisis,” said Dr. Nicole Jones, Associate Professor at Michigan State University. “Each time participants share their experiences, they help us build a clearer picture of how health, service needs, and recovery continue to evolve over time. This information not only shows the long-term impacts of the crisis but also helps us make sure that the resources and services available to the Flint community continue to respond to people’s needs.”

Now that the survey has closed, the work continues behind the scenes. The Flint Registry team will review and analyze the responses to identify trends, changes and areas that may need additional attention. Survey information is kept safe and secure and helps researchers better understand the experiences of Flint families and adults and to inform future Registry activities, resources and research.

The responses also help us track how things are changing over time. Because many Registry participants have completed surveys at different points since joining, researchers can look at information across multiple years to better understand changes in health, well-being, access to services and other aspects of participants’ lives.

Thank you to everyone who completed the 2026 Mini Follow-Up Survey and contributed their time and perspective. Your participation helps make the Flint Registry a valuable source of information about the Flint community. We look forward to sharing more about what we learn from this year’s responses as the analysis continues.
