Flint, MI – The Flint Registry is proud to sponsor Free Access Days and free backpacks at the Flint Children’s Museum. Families can enjoy the Flint Children’s Museum free on Thursdays and Sundays in July. In addition, if individuals complete or confirm their enrollment in the Flint Registry, they will receive a free $10 Farmers’ Market gift card.
Due to wonderful response last month, the Flint Registry will also have a table outside the MSU Building (200 E. First St. Flint, MI 48502 – across the parking lot from the Flint Farmers’ Market) every Tuesday from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM during July. Free Farmers’ Market gift cards will be available to eligible participants on Tuesdays.
“The Flint Registry has already enrolled over 3,000 children impacted by the Flint water crisis,” said Dr Nicole Jones, “We are excited to partner with the Flint Children’s Museum to get more Flint kids connected and supported.”
The first 200 youth each Thursday and Sunday will receive a new backpack filled eco-friendly with school supplies from Wisdom Supply Co., a women owned, Bay Area based B Corp that designs plastic-free, zero-waste school + office supplies. Founders Heather Itzla and Nikki Kozlowski expressed their excitement to join this backpack giveaway:

The Flint Children’s Museum offers hands-on experiences of all types for children from ages 2-10. For 40 years, the Flint Children’s Museum has enjoyed supporting the development of every child through hands-on learning experiences. It is dedicated to serving as many children and families as possible.

The Flint Registry continues to improve public health by connecting, supporting, and counting those impacted by the Flint water crisis with child development, health, nutrition, and lead elimination resources.

About the Flint Registry
The Flint Registry is for anyone exposed to Flint water because they lived, worked, attended school, or regularly visited the City of Flint during April 2014-October 2015, including children born before August 1, 2016, that may have been exposed prenatally.
The Flint Registry is supported by a grant from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) National Center for Environmental Health to Michigan State University College of Human Medicine’s Division of Public Health.
