Flint, MI – November is Men’s Health Awareness Month. On November 29th, you are invited to a live conversation with physicians, specialists, and community leaders about all things men’s health. Tune in to hear about a holistic approach to men’s health, including mental and physical, as well as preventative and proactive steps to take toward a healthier, happier, and longer life.
According to Movember, a leading men’s health organization, Men will die an average of four and a half years earlier than women – due to largely preventable reasons.
The Flint Registry and Greater Flint Health Coalition are hosting a Men’s Health Dialogue with community leaders and experts. The conversation will be streamed live on the Flint Registry’s Facebook page (facebook.com/flintregistry) on November 29th from 4:00p-5:00p.
The discussion will cover various topics from a diverse field of experts. They will communicate the importance of men’s health in the context of the individual, family and friends, and the greater community. Topics will include health stigmas, taking care of oneself to help others, and building trust and safe spaces with loved ones, doctors, and the health community.
The panel of experts includes Shon Hart, founder of Involved Dad; Dr. Linda McIntyre, urologist; Dr. Wayne McCullough, Interim Director of MSU’s Division of Public Health; Dr. Bobby Mukkamala, ear, nose, and throat surgeon; Dr. Lawrence Reynolds, Interim CEO of Greater Flint Health Coalition; and Stacy Winchester, Eisenhower Community School Director.
