By June 21, 2019Press Release

FLINT, Mich. – The Flint Registry announces a week-long event to assist individuals in their enrollment process. The outreach team and Flint Registry staff will be at various locations throughout the city getting individuals pre-enrolled and assisting them with the full enrollment process. The Flint Registry Summer Outreach Week starts Monday, July 8 with a Kick-Off Brunch from 10 am to 12 pm at Sylvester Broome Empowerment Village located at 4119 Saginaw Street, Flint, MI. The event will conclude Saturday, July 13 at Brennan Park Field Day event from 1-4pm. The goal is to encourage everyone impacted by the water crisis to enroll in the Flint Registry which is designed to support individuals by making sure they get connected to services and resources in the community.

“We are encouraging everyone to use this week to take steps towards recovery,” said Janée Rankin, Director of Community Engagement. “We look forward to answering any questions people may have about the Flint Registry and help them with the process of getting started.” Individuals can also start the enrollment process by going to our website at flintregistry.org and clicking the “Pre-Enroll” button at the top of the page or calling 833-GO-FLINT.

Modeled after other public health registries like the World Trade Center Disaster Registry, the Flint Registry is a place for people to voice their health concerns and to make sure they are connected to services that reduce the impact of the water crisis on their health.

The Flint Registry is for anyone who was exposed to the Flint water system because they worked, lived, went to school, or daycare in Flint from April 25, 2014 – October 15, 2015, including children who were prenatally exposed. The Flint Registry is for all ages.
