(FLINT, Mich.) – The Flint Registry is proud to announce it has received the endorsement from the Community Based Organization Partners (CBOP) Community Ethics Review Board (CERB) after a complete review.
According to the endorsement letter, the review process found the Flint Registry project to be “ethically sound and consistent with the vision and mission of the CERB.”
The CERB is comprised of Flint-area volunteers, provides a core function of the Healthy Flint Research Coordinating Center (HFRCC). It is established to examine potential and actual research proposals utilizing a community ethical lens to conducting research.
The goal of the CERB is to create and facilitate a community-based, community-driven review process whereby research conduct ensures.
About the Flint Registry
The Flint Registry is a public health registry being developed for anyone who was exposed to lead-contaminated Flint water because they lived, worked or attended school in the City of Flint during April 2014-October 2015. The Registry aims to connect people to services and programs that currently exist in the community to aid in the recovery process.
