Community Resource Summit Offers Hope and Connection

The Flint Registry, is excited to host the 2nd Annual Community Resource Fair scheduled for Thursday, March 24, 2022 from 4 – 6 pm.  The Fair will be virtual and held via ZOOM.  Partnering agencies will promote awareness which educates, informs and provides greater access to residents, families, and individuals to much needed resources and services.   As we prepare for this upcoming event, participants will have the opportunity to take full advantage of the following information:

  • MSU, Pediatric Public Health Initiative (PPHI) & Flint Registry – Presentation of the Inaugural report (Connecting families to resources, getting enrolled, access to family and youth programs)
  • Catholic Charities – Eviction/Diversion Program/ Past-due bill assistance, personal needs, etc.
  • Genesee Health System (GHS) – Lead Safe Home program, 24/7 Behavioral Health, crisis line for youth and adults, etc.
  • Mott Workforce Development  – Employment / Training opportunities, etc.
  • Flint Women’s Study Community Action Network – Socio-emotional Health for women, men, and children, monthly support meetings
  • Greater Flint Health Coalition (CHAP) – Family supports, Health insurance access, etc.
  • MDHHS (Participate as available: Emergency Application/Resource links in chat)
  • Metro Community Development – Financial counseling, first time homebuyer education, business plans all geared to help individuals and families become financially stable.  Helping Flint residents become homeowners.
  • MTA, Sharing information on needed transportation, including medical appointments and work, rides to wellness, partner in eliminating barriers to transportation
  • Food Bank of Eastern MI (SNAP) –  Food access, availability, and service update
  • Peckham, Safe place for youth, employment opportunities, job, social skills, and support services
  • Strive, Support with job and interview skills, employment opportunities, youth placement to develop character and  increase success outcomes
  • Legal Services of Eastern MI – Inform community of the law, support families and individuals with a variety of legal concerns
